StarCraft II is (finally) real!

After 10 years, the sequel to one of my favorite video games ever is finally (almost) here!

I’m sure stories about this will be breaking everywhere today, but right now it’s only 3am in LA and the story broke in Seoul, Korea, 5 hours ago– tomorrow! All I could find is this story at 1up.com!

    This is very exciting, and I love Starcraft… but I’d be lying if I wasn’t hoping for something even more than what Warcraft 3 was to Warcraft 2.  I mean 3D is nice and new units are nice, but I want more (like a wicked dynamic campaign) instead of just a rumored 4th side.

    I will still play this like a fiend.

    Totally agree. WarCraft III took it to four races, after all. And these screenshots look like they’re out of the original game unless you squint. I’m all for nostalgia, but I’m hoping there’s a lot more to come and they blow the doors off with stuff they haven’t revealed yet. It’s probably still a couple years off.

    But at least it’s good to know that it’s in the works.
