The new trailer features Rosario Dawson in the titular role of Ahsoka Tano. Dawson’s character, who first appeared in the second season of “The Mandalorian,” embarks on a mission to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn from becoming the “heir to the Empire”. The two-minute clip also offers fans a more extensive look at Ahsoka’s co-stars, including Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla.

In addition to the protagonists, the trailer provides a fuller look at the menacing character portrayed by the late Ray Stevenson, in one of his last roles before his passing in May. Stevenson’s character, Jedi-turned-mercenary Baylan Skoll, is set to add an intriguing layer to the series’ storyline.

The series also includes performances from Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen, and Eman Esfandi in various roles.

The trailer is punctuated with exciting battle scenes, promising fans a thrilling mix of space and lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. The expanded focus of the trailer from previous teasers showcases not just the breadth of characters, but the impending clashes and alliances.

“Ahsoka” marks another collaboration between Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. Filoni, who created the Ahsoka character for the animated Star Wars: Clone Wars series, serves as the head writer and executive producer, alongside Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. The series is co-executive produced by Karen Gilchrist.

The directors for the series include Filoni himself, as well as Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
