THE WORLDS END BD_2D

There are certain films that are more than mere “movies,” they are experiences that only get better with each viewing, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the work only after multiple viewings. Director Edgar Wright is now four for four in bringing us this exact type of event moviegoing experience, and with THE WORLD’S END releasing on Blu-ray and DVD today, the time has come for us all to become FULLY annihilated…

TWE-teaser

With the possible exception of Disney/Pixar’s glorious Blu-ray’s, Edgar Wright’s films are given such an abundance of bonus features, one almost feels guilty for not paying double — and THE WORLD’S END is no exception. A whopping THREE commentary tracks are just the beginning of this immersive home viewing experience which will showcase the mind bending, almost OCD levels of detail and love power-packed into the film. The writer’s commentary track alone from Pegg and Wright is worth more than whatever one is currently paying for their writing degree. Unlike many “fluff” tracks bundled with many films, this filming team is down to business, annihilating the listener with a wealth of information of every aspect of bringing the film to fruition. And the not-to-be-missed “signs and omens” feature is perhaps the best proof of how layered the film is to those cynics who dismiss the film as nothing more than a light comedy — but please, only after they’ve seen it, as it contains a massive amount of spoilers!

Sit back, grab a pint, and prepare to get annihilated!…with the best blu-ray release of 2013 — Edgar Wright’s THE WORLD’S END.
