I consider this one of those “gift” films… the kind of cinematic event that transcends being a mere movie, and even becomes bigger than an event. It’s a gift, really. A film that should technically not exist due to the creatively stifling bureaucracy that is the labyrinth of getting anything made, let alone something great. But, thanks to all the cash Burton brought Disney out of Wonderland, Ol’ Tim gets to play inside his old playground and bring his original short to glorious feature-length black & white life! October cannot come soon enough!…

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life — with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
