New Princess Rooms At Walt Disney World This March!

Share

Disney’s Port Orleans (my favorite “moderate” resort at Walt Disney World) is about to get even more magical. There are two sections to the resort: French Quarter and Riverside (formerly “Dixie Landings Resort”). I have always preferred the more magically themed French Quarter, but, starting this March, Port Orleans Riverside is about to give the New Orleans inspired section a run for its money with its new Royal Guest Rooms.

The hotel is finishing up the final touches on converting 512 of its rooms, which will include features such as Aladdin’s Magic Carpet embedded into the carpeting and footstools straight out of Beauty and the Beast. The rooms will include upgrades such as LED “fireworks” that explode in the headboards at the touch of a button.

Disney resorts all have a backstory and this upgrade is no exception. The backstory here is that New Orleans’-based Princess Tiana is the hostess of the the new rooms, which will run about an extra $30 over the price of a standard Port Orleans Rooms (which comes in at around $189 per night).

As always, call 1-800-W-DISNEY for reservations!
