The shooting of the movie is currently underway in Toronto. Additional talent joining the cast are Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, and Kevin Durand, who starred in Abigail. Also stepping into the endeavor is renowned horror director, David Cronenberg.

Returning to helm ‘Ready or Not: Here I Come’ are Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, also known by their production group name, Radio Silence. The imaginative minds behind the writing — Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy — are also back in action for the sequel.

The initial ‘Ready or Not’ flick captivated audiences with the story of Weaving’s character, a bride thrown into a deadly game on her wedding night. The game, conducted to honor an ancient pact with the devil, turned the festive occasion into a kill-or-be-killed scenario. The film resonated with critics and audiences alike, resulting in a box office earnings of $28 million, far surpassing its $6 million budget.

While specifics on the new plot remain undisclosed, the key team behind the movie has been revealed. Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak are the producers of the sequel. In the executive producer seats are Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, Paul Neinstein, Busick, Murphy, and Weaving. Richard Ruiz and Cornelia Burleigh are in charge of the project, under the aegis of Searchlight.

Matthew Greenfield, the president of Searchlight, expressed his joy at the developments. According to Greenfield, “Ready or Not: Here I Come promises another thrilling ride with the talented Samara Weaving, supported by new and exciting voices. We are thrilled to work again with the phenomenal team at Radio Silence. We are eager to give audiences a fresh experience, just as electrifying and entertaining as the first movie. This is for both, the anticipators and the unexpected viewers”.
