– The upcoming Spider-Man movie, still without a title, will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a screenplay by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, and is set for a theatrical release on July 31, 2026.
– This film follows the successful Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed billions globally, and took a dramatic turn in the narrative as the world forgot Peter Parker’s secret identity as Spider-Man.

Sadie Sink, known for her role in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, is slated to appear alongside Tom Holland in the upcoming fourth Spider-Man film. Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker behind Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is taking the director’s seat for this yet-to-be-titled project, while the screenplay comes from the combined efforts of Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna.

Details about the narrative for the upcoming Spider-Man instalment remain a well-kept secret. Its predecessor, No Way Home, concluded with Peter Parker’s identity as Spider-Man being erased from everyone’s memory, including that of MJ, portrayed by Zendaya. Sink’s role in the film has not been disclosed yet.

During an appearance on Good Morning America last year, Holland previewed the fourth movie, hinting that it would offer a unique and exciting concept. He said, “The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it.”

Sony Pictures is planning a theatrical release for the film on July 31, 2026. Holland reprised his role as Spider-Man most recently in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed billions globally. Jon Watts, who directed Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), also directed this film.

As Sink prepares to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is also getting ready to say goodbye to Stranger Things. Sink’s future projects include The Searchlight film O’Dessa and the Broadway production John Proctor Is the Villain.
