Is Daredevil considering a move to the DC Universe? Charlie Cox, known for his role as Daredevil, recently shared his thoughts on which comic book character he would like to portray if given the opportunity to join the other side of the pond.

In the world of comic book adaptations, it is not uncommon for actors to switch franchises. Stars like Ben Affleck, Josh Brolin, and Isabela Merced have all made the leap from Marvel to DC. With the upcoming Daredevil revival series, fans have started to speculate if Cox would ever consider a transition to the DC Universe.

While Cox did not express significant interest in leaving Marvel for DC, he did reveal his ideas during a panel at Fan Expo San Francisco. According to a report from ComicBookMovie.com, the Daredevil star admitted that he would like to take on the role of the iconic villain Joker. However, Cox humbly acknowledged the challenge of living up to the performances of previous actors who portrayed the character.

Cox stated, “I wouldn’t want to take it on based on the actors you have in the past because they’re so brilliant, but I was thinking like, the Joker would be a lot of fun. If you could find a way to do something… You know, I mean, Heath Ledger for me nailed that part obviously. If you could find a new take on it in some way that would be cool.”

Interestingly, Cox is not the only Daredevil star who dreams of joining the DC Universe. His co-star Vincent D’Onofrio revealed a few months ago that his dream role would be to play Swamp Thing. If this were to happen, perhaps Cox could portray Patchwork Man, the iconic villain of Swamp Thing, thus creating an unexpected twist in their characters’ rivalry.

When it comes to other potential roles in the DC Universe, there is no shortage of fancasts for Cox. Fans have suggested him for characters such as Etrigan the Demon, Mister Miracle, and even Superman. However, considering Cox’s commitment to Daredevil and the upcoming revival series, it is unlikely that he will make the jump to DC’s freshly rebooted franchise.
