Yep, it’s official – I had a dream that Ke Quan was going to reprise his role as “Short Round” in INDY IV
Nobody at Lucasfilm was even approached for a comment, since doing so would be ridiculous.
But c’mon, you know I’m right – I will bet cash money that Ke makes an appearance in the new sequel. Rumors abound that all the Jones ladies are going to have cameos, and I’m quite sure that Speilberg has room for a 30-second walk on for Tall Round.
Anyway, I don’t recall us ever having done an April 1st post, so here it is, a day late for taxes.

This is beautiful – if this were to be true, then the world would be a better place.
I’d rather see Indy IV with Ke and no Harrison Ford, than Indy IV with Ford and no Quan.

I remain skeptical. If those guys were COOL this would happen. but if they were cool then Quan would have Labouf’s role. Unless LaBouf is indeed his son. Then, fine. but still. He should be there. Those rumors about the Gals of Indy’s Past circulated way back in the days when everyone in hollywood was toying with this script. Who knows if that’ll sticl. Karen Allen claims to know nothing about it. And, worse yet -John Reyes Davies claims he has not been approcahed to reprise Sallah. So, yeah –

It would, at the very least, be cool if in the Indy world Marcus still was alive and well. He could have a voice cameo, over the phone – perhaps by using a line of dialouge that never made it into the other films.
