Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day Release Date, Plot, and More

– The fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland is now officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day and is set to be released on July 31, 2026.
– The film’s title is a nod to a pivotal 2008 comic book storyline where everyone forgets Spider-Man’s identity, echoing the ending of the previous movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
– Director Destin Daniel Cretton and writers Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and No Way Home respectively, are behind the upcoming movie.

Tom Holland broke the news on a video that the fourth installment of his Spider-Man franchise now has a title: Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The movie is due to launch in theaters on July 31, 2026. Destin Daniel Cretton, director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, joined Holland on stage at CinemaCon on Monday, admitting that he lost 0 on a Las Vegas roulette earlier.

Cretton expressed his excitement at being part of the production, acknowledging his lifelong admiration for Peter Parker’s character, in particular, his comical and complex humane sides.

Holland, in his video release, thanked his fans for their ceaseless support. He further highlighted that the new film unveils a new chapter of Spider-Man. Cretton, on his part, characterized the movie as a unique cinematic journey.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day borrows its title from a 2008 comic series where everyone forgot about Spider-Man’s identity following a monumental event. This seems a fitting name given the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the world lost the memory of Spider-Man and Peter Parker.

Since starring last in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Holland’s Spider-Man project is back in fuller force. Jon Watts was the director of No Way Home, and he previously directed Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
