Ariel Winter’s Thriller “Don’t Log Off” Aimed at Summer Release

Epic Pictures has obtained distribution rights for the screen-life thriller, “Don’t Log Off”. Written and directed by Brandon Baer and Garrett Baer, the movie stars Ariel Winter, along with an ensemble cast. The film, set for a summer release under Epic’s horror banner Dread, paints a suspenseful narrative of technology-driven lives as Winter’s character attempts to unravel her friend’s disappearance.

Epic Pictures has obtained distribution rights for the screen-life thriller movie, Don’t Log Off, featuring star Ariel Winter. The film is set for a summer release under the distributor’s horror label, Dread. The film is a creation of the Baer brothers, Brandon and Garrett. Its all-inclusive cast includes Ashley Argota Torres, Brielle Barbusca, Sterling Beaumon, Luke Benward, Jack Griffo, Khylin Rhambo, and Kara Royster.

In Don’t Log Off, Winter, famous for her role in Modern Family, portrays Annie, a woman frantically trying to find her best friend who vanishes during a surprise birthday video call. Using the day’s phone calls, texts, and social media posts, Annie tries to piece together her friend’s last known activities while trying to evade a threatening figure from her friend’s history.

Regarding the film, the Baer brothers convey, “It’s our intention for this movie to serve as a reflection of an extremely technology-reliant era in our collective lives.” They add, “We deemed that blending screen-life and usual filmmaking aspects was the most self-representing way to narrate this story, hence pushing this suspense thriller’s limits.” They express their gratitude towards everyone who bought into their vision and joined hands with them to bring their film to life.

Winter, Beaumon, Benward, Nicole Smolen, and Austin Seltzer co-produced the film with the brothers. Brick Lane Entertainment’s Todd Slater also produced the film, managing global sales at the European Film Market.
