Jason Statham is set to return in a sequel to the action-packed thriller, The Beekeeper. Following the success of the 2024 film, the upcoming sequel will continue the riveting tale of a vengeance seeking, retired intelligence agent. Helmed by Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work on Nobody 2, the sequel is slated to be produced by Miramax and will begin production this fall. Alongside Statham, the original film starred Emmy Raver-Lampman, Minnie Driver, Josh Hutcherson, and Jeremy Irons, and managed to gross a staggering 3 million at the global box office.

British actor Jason Statham is set to come back to the Hive for a second installment of the successful action thriller, The Beekeeper.

The upcoming project serves as a sequel to the 2024 blockbuster which tells the story of a former undercover agent affiliated with an organization known as the Beekeepers. After his much-loved landlady dies due to an internet-based scam, he embarks on a quest for retribution.

Production of the film will be handled and financed by Miramax, with the filming process scheduled to kick off in the autumn season. Timo Tjahjanto, the creative mind behind the anticipated action movie Nobody 2, will be leading the directing role, taking over from previous director David Ayer. Accomplished screenwriter Kurt Wimmer is set to return to the sequel.

Jason Statham will take on production responsibilities through his own company, Punch Palace Productions, in conjunction with Chris Long via his Long Shot Productions.

The original Beekeeper film attained impressive commercial success, despite a dopey plot. Co-stars of the film included Emmy Raver-Lampman, Minnie Driver, Josh Hutcherson, and Jeremy Irons.
