A new Fantastic Four film is slated to release this summer, and Miles Teller, the star of the 2015 version of the superhero franchise, has shared his viewpoint on the upcoming adaptation.

In the previous film, Teller portrayed Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, sharing screen space with Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. Pedro Pascal has stepped into the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the forthcoming film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach also in the cast.

Teller, who is acquainted with Pedro for several years, conveyed his best wishes to the crew of the new film in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, The Gorge. He said, “I don’t want anybody to experience a flop. Such blemishes on one’s career can be hard for some to recover from. I simply hope for the best for them. I’ve watched the short trailer and it seemed wonderful. I’m very enthusiastic on their behalf.”

The 2015 Fantastic Four rendition drained millions from 20th Century Fox’s coffers and any prospect of a sequel was subsequently aborted. Now under Disney’s umbrella, the Marvel’s First Family, as the team is commonly referred to, is set to make a comeback within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new film is being directed by Matt Shakman of WandaVision fame and is scheduled for a July 25 release.

On the other hand, Teller is leading in Apple TV+’s The Gorge, partnering with Anya Taylor-Joy as two proficient agents who form a renowned bond while being assigned to safeguard contradicting sides of a strange gorge.

Teller exhibited enthusiasm for his new film, citing unique elements, a strong director in Scott Derrickson, and having the opportunity to work with Anya Taylor-Joy, whom he lauds and has known for many years. This existing camaraderie assisted in lighting up their on-screen chemistry, with Teller adding, “Feeling comfortable with someone before the cameras start rolling significantly enhances the chemistry.” The Gorge, which also includes Sigourney Weaver in its roster, will begin steaming on Apple TV+ this Friday.
