From February 10 to February 25, players can experience an exciting fusion of Resident Evil and Dead by Daylight, featuring new killers, survivors, and a special map set in the Raccoon City Police Department. With the addition of thematic gameplay elements like Herbs and a unified antidote, this event promises non-stop action alongside Resident Evil characters available for free exclusively in 2v8 mode.

Resident Evil Joins Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 Mode

– Dead by Daylight is collaborating with Resident Evil for a new 2v8 mode event from February 10 to February 25.
– The event includes new gameplay elements, a new Raccoon City Police Department map, and free access to Resident Evil characters in 2v8 mode.
– Thematic elements like herbs and a unified antidote for infection will be introduced, along with two Survivor bots in each lobby to reduce Killer queue time.

Due to popular demand for more Resident Evil content in Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive has announced an exciting collaboration that will see the legendary Survival Horror title fused with the game’s 2v8 mode. This special event will be available from February 10 to February 25, offering players the chance to pair two iconic characters, Wesker and Nemesis, together in thrilling gameplay. Additionally, a new map will be introduced to house all the action, adding to the excitement of the collaboration.

Now in its third iteration since its debut in July 2024, Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 Mode welcomes The Nemesis and The Mastermind to its killer roster, alongside the original creation The Legion. With two Dead by Daylight chapters already featuring characters from the Resident Evil series, players can now potentially have every character slot filled with Resident Evil icons in a 2v8 match.

The new Raccoon City Police Department Map serves as the perfect arena for this epic showdown, providing a fitting backdrop for the intense gameplay that will unfold during the event.

As an added bonus, all Resident Evil characters will be available to play for free exclusively in 2v8 Mode for the duration of the event, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the Resident Evil experience.

To enhance the gameplay experience, new thematic elements have been added to this iteration of 2v8. The Nemesis and The Mastermind’s abilities to infect and weaken survivors will play a significant role, with a unified antidote becoming the default item in Supply Crates if both killers are chosen in a trial. This antidote can cure either infection, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game.

In a nod to Resident Evil’s iconic Herbs, a unique gameplay mechanic has been introduced exclusively for this iteration of 2v8. Green and Yellow Herbs will randomly spawn around the map, with Green Herbs healing 1 Survivor Health State and Yellow Herbs healing 1 Hook State. Killers have the option to destroy any Herb they come across, gaining a brief movement speed increase in the process.

Lastly, to reduce killer queue times, two Survivor Bots will be added to every lobby during this iteration of 2v8, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience for all participants.

Dead by Daylight is available on various platforms, including PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
