Originally planned as an 18-episode series, Daredevil: Born Again had to hit the reset button in September 2023. Early footage fell short of Marvel Studios’ expectations, prompting the arrival of new showrunner Dario Scardapane, known for his work on The Punisher. It was then decided that the previously isolated Marvel universe on Netflix would now become part of the official Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) canon.
