“Terrifying Rainstorm Incident: Visitors Stranded Mid-Air on Supergirl Sky Flight Ride at Six Flags Mexico”

– Supergirl Sky Flight ride at Six Flags Mexico stopped during a rainstorm, leaving visitors suspended in the air.
– Guests were stuck on the ride for ten minutes and were pelted with heavy rain and wind.
– Fortunately, no one was injured, and the ride resumed shortly after.

Visitors to Six Flags Mexico in Mexico City were in for a shock when a ride called Supergirl Sky Flight came to a sudden stop during a rainstorm. The ride, which swings guests around in carts attached to a 242-foot-tall tower, was rebranded in 2018 to mimic Supergirl flying through the air. However, on August 18, severe weather caused the ride to halt, leaving parkgoers suspended in the air as heavy rain poured down.

One parkgoer, Omar Hernández Medrano, captured the terrifying ordeal on video and shared it with Storyful. The video shows the stranded passengers crying out in fear as the rain and wind batter them. Fortunately, the ordeal only lasted ten minutes, and no one was injured. Six Flags Mexico quickly resolved the issue, but it’s safe to assume that few, if any, riders willingly boarded the ride again that day.

It must have been a harrowing experience for those trapped on Supergirl Sky Flight. The feeling of helplessness, combined with the relentless rain, would have undoubtedly left a lasting impression. There may have even been children on board, as the ride has a minimum height requirement of 1.12 meters. Such a traumatic event could potentially scar them for life, creating a fear of theme parks.

Having personally visited Six Flags Great Adventure in the past, I know that the rides at Six Flags parks are designed to provide an adrenaline rush. Roller coasters like The Great American Scream Machine and Batman and Robin: The Chiller take riders on thrilling, high-speed journeys. Looking back, I recall feeling intimidated by Kingda Ka, the tallest coaster in the world, and choosing to opt-out. The thought of being caught on such a ride during a rainstorm, forced to endure a mid-air halt, is truly nightmarish. Thankfully, the worst I experienced was a headache from the jolts on The Chiller.

Despite the terrifying incident, all passengers on Supergirl Sky Flight emerged unharmed. Now, they have a remarkable story to share with their friends and families. It serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of theme park attractions and the importance of safety measures. While such occurrences can be scary, they remain relatively rare and do not define the overall experience of visiting theme parks.
