The realm of high-octane thrillers is set to pulse once again with electric intensity as Bob Odenkirk’s 2021 adrenaline-fueled film “Nobody” gears up for a much-anticipated sequel. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that a film set to enthrall audiences next summer has found its creative captain in director Timo Tjahjanto, known for his gripping work in “The Night Comes for Us.” With a seasoned crew in its wake, “Nobody 2” promises to be a cinematic event marked on every action aficionado’s calendar for its release on August 15, 2025.

This forthcoming project brings together a constellation of talent under the banner of Universal Pictures and 87North, with a script crafted by a dynamic team that includes Odenkirk, Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem. The genesis of this exciting narrative is under tight guard, but the anticipation is palpable among fans eager for the continuation of the story.

Odenkirk’s magnetic portrayal of Hutch Mansell, a seemingly understated family man with a lethal set of skills in the first installment, enthralled viewers worldwide. When his dormant abilities were summoned in the defense of his family against a formidable crime lord, audiences were treated to a riveting performance that spurred the film to commendable global box office revenue.

The production of “Nobody 2” involves a coalition of seasoned producers, including Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for 87Really North, alongside Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero for Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment. Also joining the fray is Braden Aftergood for Eighty-Two Films. Ensuring project alignment with the vision of Universal Pictures, Jay Polidoro and Tony Ducret supervise the film’s progression.

With his fingerprints on the pulse-raising “V/H/S” horror anthology and a slew of impactful Indonesian titles on Netflix, Tjahjanto’s directorial vision will inject “Nobody 2” with the same distinctive intensity and flair he is celebrated for. Odenkirk, who has captured audiences with his unforgettable roles in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” will also be gracing the screen in another collaboration with writer Kolstad titled “Normal,” continuing to build his repertoire in the action genre.
