Rothman heralded the close of Venom’s chapter within Sony’s Marvel films as a significant occasion that’s sure to captivate fans across the globe.
The Venom series has carved out its unique niche, distinct from the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), commencing with its 2018 debut. Hardy’s portrayal of Eddie Brock presented a darker, more visceral take on the familiar comic book universe, one that existed in the absence of his infamous nemesis, Spider-Man. The success of the original movie warranted a sequel, bringing seismic narrative expansions in “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” (2021).
