Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire To Be The Next Monsterverse Release
After the massive success of 2021’s “Godzilla vs. Kong,” director Adam Wingard announced the next movie title in the Warner Bros. and Legendary Monsterverse, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” The movie is set to hit theaters on March 15, 2024, and will feature the two iconic monsters teaming up to face a new threat. In the previous movie, “Godzilla vs. Kong,” the two titular monsters faced off and was a massive success, grossing $470 million at the box office, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
The sequel, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” promises to take things to the next level. The movie’s synopsis teases a terrifying world-ending threat that neither Godzilla nor Kong can face alone. The two monsters must work together to save the world from destruction… which we’re all for!
Fans of the Monsterverse are excited to see what Adam Wingard has in store for them with this new movie. Wingard is known for his unique approach to storytelling, though we didn’t see much of that mastery at work in “Godzilla vs. Kong.” Fans are hopeful that “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” will be even better than its predecessor.
The movie will feature returning actors Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, and newcomers Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House. Dan Stevens and Wingard working together is a good sign, we hope!
