Universal Studios revs up the engine for the highly anticipated “Fast X,” the penultimate installment in the explosive “Fast & Furious” franchise. The adrenaline-fueled movie will be racing into theaters on May 19.

The first trailer for the film offers a glimpse into the high-speed action and heart-pumping thrills that fans have come to expect from the beloved franchise. The film follows globe-trotting street racer Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his team of fearless racers as they face off against two formidable foes: the cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) and her mysterious accomplice Dante (Jason Momoa). With the help of a new ally named Tess (Brie Larson), Toretto must protect his family and outwit the villains before it’s too late.

At the heart of the trailer is Toretto’s fear of losing someone he loves, revealed to be his young son Brian (Leo Abelo Perry), who is kidnapped by Dante. The trailer also introduces Toretto’s grandmother (played by Rita Moreno), as well as several familiar faces, including John Cena as Toretto’s brother Jakob and Jason Statham as mercenary Deckard Shaw.

The trailer ends with a dramatic showdown between Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Cipher, setting the stage for what promises to be an epic and unforgettable showdown.
