The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

We saw The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (most of it, at least), and decided that Peter Jackson’s return to Middle-Earth had to be the start of a new podcast series we’re starting. We discuss the movie we saw, our general thoughts and nerd nitpickyisms, as well as being happy to simply be back in The Shire. There are spoilers, though not many, but we hope you get a kick out of it. And if not, it was good to rant for 20 minutes post-movie.

And for those looking for highlights:

  • Thoughts on book adapting vs. movie making
  • Characters, new and old returning
  • And a major IMAX technical problem is discovered!

Let us know what you think or what we can do to improve!

And now… The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie review podcast:

UPDATE from Cybergosh: Apologies for my lack of knowledge on the Mines of Moria and getting my facts wrong, after seeing it again I realized I was way off on that. It should also be noted that the 48 FPS HFR3D, in my opinion, is the biggest mistake in the history of cinema. An uncinematic disaster. It’s laughable.
