Walt Disney World Flashback: Original Contemporary Resort Decor
Disney’s Contemporary Resort was the first Disney resort I ever slept at (back in 1984) and has always been my favorite alongside Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Here’s a great shot of what the rooms looked like when the resort opened back in October 1971, thanks to the Disney Parks Blog…
For comparison, here is what the rooms look like today…
Although the new rooms are awesome, there’s a part of me that wishes Disney gave a few of the rooms this retro make-over when they redid them five years ago. Those chairs are amazing! I for one would pay extra to stay in a vintage looking room at the resort.
