i think it is a real shame that the haimster isn’t in it… but honestly..and I know you’ll hate me for saying this… but have you seen the original recently..it sucks!!! this has the same production value.
Thought he was in it as a surprise? Did you watch the interview with the Feldog? He basically alludes to such.
Movie looks like utter garbage, but, yeah, I’m like 15 years post-realization that the first one sucked. There were brief moments of great comedy in it, but absolutely none of the drama worked. This one looks just about as good. Lots of fun to hear the (insert name of classic song that’s not classic enough for me to remember its title but I’ll never forget it was in Lost Boys) again though.
Overall? Meh. I’ll need some really good product in my system in order to watch, let alone enjoy, this one…
I can’t wait to see this!!! I don’t love the first one, but the nostalgia in me does. This new one looks like by the numbers DVD schlock, but c’mon, it will certainly be better than “AVH: Alien vs. Hunter” starring William Katt!
Ya gotta wonder – when Haim CRIED OPENLY about not being included in this movie (on their MTV reality show) — was it staged because he’d already been cast in the film and they wanted to build suspense?
Or was it real, and it prompted the producers of this movie to include him (but keep it secret)?
Both? Neither? Why hide the fact that he’s in it? Don’t they need to fill seats as desperately as possible or do they think this is actually a competitive summer movie? Because it ain’t. If you ask me, this has about as much appeal as JUMPER or that movie about the rich kids who are part of a secret society. Forgot what that was called.
Do kids today like Lost Boys?
Looks like someone hasn’t been in Hot Topic lately hehe. Lost Boys has definitely had a resurgence in that scene. I think this could have and should have been given more respect. It could have been, perhaps, even bigger than the original had it been done with some class. Still – this is perfect for me and i cannot fucking wait to watch this!!! Will this even get a theatrical release i wonder?

I was just gonna say, just because its in hot topic don’t mean kids are buying it. A lot of 80s titles get swag releases, but they dont always do well.
Granted. But do a MySpace search..you’ll come across 18 year old Goth girls who have their entire page LostBoys-ed out.
