Ralph McQuarrie Book Coming
As John Williams gave Star Wars its resonance, Ralph McQuarrie gave it vision. Though the concepts came from the mind of George Lucas, it was McQuarrie who truly created every memorable detail of the original Star Wars universe. Any fan knows and respects his masterful artwork, and those of us who saw the “Empire of Dreams” documentary were saddened to see that age has robbed the man of the ability to use his hands. I can think of nothing sadder than an artist who can no longer hold a brush.
But this 400-page book, available for preorder on January 1st 2007 from Dreams and Visions Press will celebrate McQuarrie’s work, as part of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. He may also be appearing at Celebration IV, where the book will launch. Get the full story Here
