Share

Duran Duran have announced the worldwide rush release of lead single “All You Need Is Now” for December 8th exclusively via the iTunes Store. The band will make the song available one week earlier than expected due to the increasing demand among their devoted fanbase. The 9-track digital album All You Need Is Now, produced by the Grammy Award-winning Mark Ronson, is due out December 21st exclusively via the iTunes Store. An expanded physical LP with additional original, new tracks will be released in February 2011 in various format deluxe packages. On Friday December 10th, Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes will pay a visit to Mark Ronson’s radio show Authentic Sh*t on East Village Radio to exclusively unveil part of a new album track. Be sure to tune into East Village Radio on Friday from 8pm – 10pm EST here: http://www.eastvillageradio.com.

The vibrant video for the title track “All You Need Is Now,” also set for release on iTunes on December 21st, was shot in and around London and was helmed by celebrated director Nick Egan, whose previous work includes Duran Duran’s “White Lines” and “Ordinary World” videos, as well as clips for Alanis Morissette, Sonic Youth, INXS, Oasis and more. Additional footage was provided by Gavin Elder, longtime documentary filmmaker for the band, amongst others.

A new song entitled “(I Can’t Make It) Another Day (Featuring Lenny Kravitz)” from the new Michael Jackson album MICHAEL will be streamed free for one week starting December 7th as an iTunes exclusive on Ping. The album is in stores next Tuesday. This song is by far the best so far off this from-beyond-the-grave album of unreleased material.

It’s really cool that 28 years after I became a fan of both I received two email newsletters on the same day about new stuff from each – during same week something ELSE I liked quite a bit from 1982 is back!

The full physical release will be on shelves in late February with additional tracks. This is just being labeled as a pre-release preview” and i think it’s a pretty great experiment given that it’s getting many fans all hyped up at the the band’s return to form!
